St.John's Church, Lytham 

Blackpool Gazette & News, February 22nd, 1895

The mural tablets in St. John's Church have received an addition in a handsome one bearing the following inscription :--

" To the glory of God and in loving remembrance of Ralph T. Williamson, Major, 1st Royal Lancashire Militia ; born 26th Nov., 1807, died Nov. 26th, 1886.

His wife Catherine, who died at Salwick Hall, 18th Dec., 1862, aged 52 years.

His eldest daughter, C. E. Mona Basnett, died 5th Nov., 1859, aged 17 years.

His second daughter, Florence Lydia, entered into rest, 2nd Dec., 1893, aged 49 years.

His stepson, George M. W. Sotheby, Lieutenant, Bengal Artillery, and only son of C. H. Sotheby, Captain 34th Madras N.I., who met his untimely death at the Massacre of Cawnpore,1857, aged 19 years.
