Waiters' & Waitresses' Race, St.Annes, 1954. 

The Waiters' & Waitresses' Race was organised by Lytham St.Annes Fete Week Committee.

The picture below shows crowds lining (presumably) St.Annes Promenade on 25 August 1954 to watch the race. The competitors ran with a waiters' cloth over one arm whilst balancing a glass on a tray. Bryan Cowap and Edna Allison were the winners.
