The Fairhaven Hotel was built by Boddingtons Brewery and was completed in
1897. It had a frontage to Clifton Drive, Marine Drive and the Promenade and views over Grannies
Bay and the Irish Sea. The hotel was demolished in the 1970s and replaced by a block of flats
and the present Fairhaven public house.
