I.R.A. Bombs, Blackpool, 1939.

 With terrific force, a bomb exploded outside the Blackpool Town Hall early today, shattering all the windows in the vicinity. This picture of the scene at the Town Hall was taken immediately after the explosion. The Fire Brigade spotlight is seen directed on the spot where the explosion occured.

The Deputy Town Hall Keeper examines damage in the office of the Mayor's secretary.
