
Saxonholme School was in St.Anne's
Rd West in 1895. It later moved to premises on the corner of South
Promenade and Derbe Rd (pictured). The Misses M.& Annie Ashburner were
principals in 1903 & 1924.
By 1930 Mrs. E.D. Thornley, B.A. & Mr. F.Thornley, B.A. were Principals
and the school amalgamated with St.Anne's College for Girls in the early
1930's.
